 Diagnostic Characteristics:
Deciduous, alternate palmately compound leaves typically have 5 serrate leaflets (1.5-4" long by 0.5-2.5" wide). Young leaves are waxy. The stems have prominent lenticels and concave leaf scars.

Additional Information

One of the strongest-climbing vines, given solid support for attachment of the adhesive discs on tendrils (not root). Not a vine for trellises or fences. Tolerates any soil, and sun or shade. Limited value as groundcover.
